Let’s to a new experience in the Summer of HPC

Hello everyone, my name is Sepideh Shamsizadeh; I’m 29 years old and come from Iran. I am studying for my master’s in computer engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, at the University of Padova.
This semester, I had a course on big data computing, through which I found myself interested in high performance computing. Considering that I am passionate about deep learning and have some industrial experience, so I know how essential and valuable is to work with HPC.
When my professor emailed about the PRACE program, I got so excited and tried my best to apply, but I was doubtful about the result of my application; being among chosen list!. So, when I received the admission email, my dream came true and I’m pleased that I’m here.

My friends know me as a persistent person who has determined goals and tries hard to complete tasks and achieving the best results. So, I am going to work hard to fulfill my duties in the PRACE program.

My project in the PRACE

I will work on the ‘Combining Big-data, AI and 3D visualization for data center optimization ‘ project. You can find more information about it here. I selected this project as my first option to apply because I was so fascinated to learn about 3D visualization and live data collection. I have some experience with data visualization and ML data analytics solutions during my work experience. But I wanted to improve them and learn new things in these fields. The project’s learning outcomes were exciting for me, and I will try to learn them ultimately. I will post about my experience during the work. Feel free to contact me in case of any questions.
