The Green Island Heart – Dublin

Ireland is welcoming us with amazing weather: warm and sunny! We hope that is going to last more than one week because Ireland is known for its unstable and rainy weather. In fact, you can find the four seasons in only one day!

Typical Irish Day

Luckily you can get used to that because of the great Irish people. They always help you with a big smile, I can say they are the most friendly people I’ve ever known. We could feel this when we’d just arrived to the airport. We took a bus to go to the city center and the driver offered us to give us a shout where we should get off. And few minutes later a Irish man was speaking with two spanish boys and helping them to find his hotel, even he called another friend to be sure about his indications.

On Monday it was our (Maria and Alba) first day in the ICHEC office,  and we got our welcome gift! Aren’t they so cute?

Welcome Gift!

This week we are going to learn all about the tools we need to complete our projects (DL_POLY and Paraview, respectively) and get used to the office atmosphere, and we’ll try to know more about Dublin too!
